Abstract:The travelers and their thoughts and feelings on the journey are ultimately an individuali zed inner experience. Teacher Lu Xiaoya uses life and death as a clue during her travels to explore the situation of people as finite subjects facing death like trapped beasts and the possibility of tran scending boundaries. This sincere stripping and philosophical thinking about death makes us follo w the author in cemeteries, churches, ancient civilization sites, hospice wards, and even in front of a tree, a chair, and a sea surface. Our hearts beating faster and we have silent conversations with many other souls. The author tries to get out of the limitation of the inner experience, which is a re- recognition of the value of death in the past, and also means to break the barrier between the subject and the subject, the individual and others, therefore, the irrational emotion calls for the establishment of a kind of “Community”. My effort is to explore the possibility of a kind of community that can be constructed based on the common emotions of facing death from the emotional perspective, this community focuses on its voluntary choice and freedom.
