The heroic consciousness is the basis of Qiu Jin"s heroic outlook on life, which is developed into the heroic consciousness of self-domination and the collectivism consciousness of "loving life" and "loving the group". The consciousness of salvation is rooted in the ethnic contradictions and the inequality between men and women at that time. National revolution and feminist movement are the practical ways for Qiu Jin to realize the value of life. Transcending consciousness is the ultimate goal of the construction of Qiu Jin"s outlook on life, its starting point is to construct the spiritual life of "the eternal name behind", the basic connotation is immortal, and the value orientation is to sacrifice one"s life for righteousness. The organic combination of the above three consciousness constitutes the core of Qiu Jin"s heroism. The analysis of the true meaning of Qiu Jin"s thought of life and death still has important reference significance for the contemporary construction of a scientific outlook on life.
