Abstract:As the population ages, hospice care has become an essential component of the healthcare service system, and the development of its micro-specialty serves as a pivotal approach to cultivating professional talents in this field. This paper reviews the current development status of the hospice care micro-specialty, and proposes a construction framework of micro-positioning, micro-curriculum and micro-team in response to the challenges. An empirical practice was conducted at Hebei University of Chinese Medicine, where the specialty orientation, core curriculum and interdisciplinary teaching team were developed in combination with the disciplinary characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), thereby establishing a hospice care micro-specialty integrating professional rigor and disciplinary distinctiveness. This research provides practical references for the construction of hospice care micro-specialties in universities and the cultivation of professional talents for the hospice care industry.
